Meet The Holbrook’s, I have been photographing their family since the very beginning! I started doing photos for them when their oldest was in 5th grade! He is now in college! I have loved getting to connect with them every year, their kids have grown up so fast! They are always so much fun! Over all of the years that I have done photos for them, not once have their kids dis-liked getting their photos taken, they are always full of ideas for poses and things that they want to do. When you schedule your photos, get your kids involved in the process, have them get together some ideas, and they will love the photo shoot even more!
I was so excited that we did these photos out at the Salt Flats, as soon as she called to schedule a date, I wanted to take them out of Cache Valley and out to the Bonneville Salt Flats. In the spring and late fall they are covered with an inch of water, and it made for some beautiful light and landscapes to play with. The Salt Flats take awhile to get to, but it is always worth the long drive to get this beautiful scene!
They always have the best outfits! I always look forward to their shoots, because I know that they will be beautifully matched. The neutrals that they chose were perfect, I am obsessed with the linen pants and rompers! I know outfits can always be a stressful part of family photos, two things that I tell families is to find moms outfit first, if she is happy in what she is wearing everyone else will be too! And don’t choose outfits that won’t match in your home. If you are wanting to make a big canvas for your home you won’t want it toot match, so choose colors that you will be happy to hang on your walls.
