This beautiful Tulum, Mexico engagement shoot is being featured on Trendy Bride Magazine today! Tulum is such an amazing place! I was only there for a couple of days, but we packed it full of so many things. If you are thinking of a trip to Mexico, I would highly recommend Tulum! We swam with the turtles, explored ancient ruins, devoured a lot of fish tacos and guacamole, swam in the fresh water Cenotes and walked the beautiful beaches. The street corners were overflowing with beautiful Bougainvillia blooms, I can’t get over the amazing colors. We did most of this shoot at Ruinas Mayas de Tulum, we photographed in the ruins and then dropped down to an amazing beach! It was seriously an amazing few days and I would love to go back!
I met Shannon when I was in Nepal, and we became great friends as we wandered the streets of Kathmandu. When she said that she and her boyfriend, almost fiancee were going to Tulum for a trip and she wanted some photos, I was all in, I love an adventure. These two are so much fun! Burrito Amor, this place is located in town and I think we ate there twice it was so good!
We had amazing fish tacos at El Capitan, and if you are like me I can never get tired of fish tacos, I think I ate them every day. 🙂
For a fine dining experience, Tulum has a lot of amazing options we ate at the Casa Banana on our final night and it was such a treat!
We stayed in a little boutique hotel and it was seriously perfect. The Cancun area has a lot of large resorts, which are great, but I like to be a little more local when I travel. This place only had a dozen or so rooms, but the people were fabulous and so willing to help! Aqua Viva was a nice low cost place to stay!
